Hello Our Town Temple readers.
Effective immediately, you will no longer be charged a subscription fee to receive this digital news service. You will continue to receive the publication and all commitments will be honored.
I plan to continue providing you with education and entertaining news stories and features, but I’m going back to the basics.
I’ll be totally honest — I wasn’t making enough money through subscriptions to pay my bills. This is my primary income, and it just wasn’t working. From now on, and I’ve already started this, each issue will contain a “tip jar.” This is the opportunity to support local journalism in its purest form.
To make ends meet, I am now writing for other publications as well as Our Town Temple. Because I have less time to commit to my Baby (Our Town Temple), I will be eliminating some features and possibly the web site.
No subscriptions means I will be sending out thousands of additional newsletters every day, which will benefit my advertisers. Advertising will continue, and hopefully grow.
I’m not calling it quits, but I do need financial support. If you like a specific story, let me know. Your support is always appreciated.
Again, I’m not going anywhere, and all subscriber commitments will be fully honored.
David
Tip Jar: Quality journalism doesn't come free
Perhaps it goes without saying — but producing quality community journalism isn't cheap. At a time when subscriber resources and revenue across the country are declining, Our Town Temple remains committed to informing, educating and entertaining our readers. If you value my brand of journalism, please show your support:
I’m a bit confused. I received a subscription receipt either yesterday or the day before.
